As you meander astride your trusty steed along the snake river and up Grayback Ridge, you will see a sanctuary of wildlife thriving on land that is as natural as it was when humans inhabited it 11,000 years ago.
Oftentimes, the loudest sounds are your horse’s gentle hoof steps so you will feel as though you have been transported to somewhere completely untouched by time and humanity. We offer guided horseback trail rides and treks through some of the most beautiful wilderness that the vast mountains of Grand Teton have to offer.

Disconnect to reconnect as you enjoy a scenic ride through some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. Each member of your team will be instructed on how to saddle their horse, pack their horse and fit a pack saddle. By the end of your time here, you will have gained valuable knowledge about horsemanship and developed a more confident seat in the saddle. Enjoy a scenic two-mile loop near the camp while you adjust to your horse, improve a little every day and pack the horses for a longer journey to the mountain top where our world-class chef prepares a gourmet dinner before you ride back to camp for a cozier setting in your secluded luxury campsite. The pace of our rides is more relaxed, enabling you to absorb the majesty of your surroundings and the company of your riding companions. Sitting atop the back of an American Quarter Horse provides an opportunity for views that almost nothing can rival. Some of our horseback trail rides are more geared towards families, like the ride to Bailey Lake, where you can hitch the horses, jump in the lake for a cool and refreshing rinse! Many a fun family game has been centered around the well-placed rope swing at Bailey Lake. All of our horses are safe and beginner friendly and are quite well adapted toward being ridden by riders of varying skill levels. Make priceless family memories as you work as a team, care for your horses and play with each other surrounded by land that is as pure as nature intended.
We maintain a large herd of horses here at Glamping on the Greys and have mounts that are safe for all ages. When you arrive at camp, we will do an assessment of your riding skills and fit you and your child with the perfect companions for your time here. We have horses and ponies to accommodate everyone from the very littles to sturdy draft crosses for larger-framed adults. Once you have experienced the park on horseback, you won’t be able to imagine experiencing it any other way. Beholding with your own eyes the massive folds of land that make up Yellowstone and Grand Teton is an experience that only a lucky few will be able to witness and share with their children.
Our group rides are popular for adults and the full-day ride offers unparalleled views of the vast expanse that is Grand Teton National Park on a clear day. Ride up the Greyback Ridge and witness breathtaking views of Bridger Teton National Forest. Kick off your boots, take photos and refuel with an incredible lunch spread prepared by our chef while your horse takes a rest. Then pack up and begin your journey down the mountain back to camp. We invite adults of all ages and sizes to enjoy the exquisite trails that the Greys river has to offer. We have rides that suit beginners, intermediate riders and cattle drives geared towards more advanced riders.
We invite children over eight years old to take part in the half-day and full-day rides. Younger children can still enjoy riding and they will be ponied around the camp by one of our experienced wranglers. While we aren’t a certified riding school regularly teaching lessons in a riding ring, we give people a supportive environment to hone their skills in the open country. We coach children on their riding skills as needed and offer family friendly activities for the children to enjoy while they gain confidence in the saddle over the course of their stay.

At Glamping on the Greys, the entire campsite will be yours. It is made up of six canvas-walled tents with raised wooden floors, decks and wood stoves. The tents are outfitted with soft linens on beds that suit a variety of sleeping arrangements with queen and twin-size mattresses, cots available upon request, and a communal heated shower. The campsite can accommodate up to 18 people and is ideal for any get-together you may want. While we provide a true and uniquely Western experience, glampers never stop raving over how impressive the food is and relish the ease of unpacking a single duffel bag once at home, as we take care of everything needed on site.
We keep a huge herd of horses at the ranch. We use them for our cattle drives, family trail rides, and ranch management. Our horses are extremely well cared for and have near 24/7 access to premium grazing areas with regular grooming, supplementing, hoof care, and medical care. We believe that top-notch care translates to happy horses who enjoy their job and do it well. Safety is one of our chief priorities and we take great care to observe the horses with a scrutinous eye for anything that may be affecting them. We have horses to accommodate all ability levels and sizes. Our horses are primarily quarter horses, with some half draft in the herd.
Our group or private trail rides are one of the best ways to explore the scenic beauty that Wyoming has to offer. We have 23,000 square miles of wilderness to explore and the local wildlife range from elk, deer, bears, coyote, wolves and a large variety of native birds and fish.
Jackson Hole is considered by many to be the basecamp for the world’s first and most famous national park, Yellowstone. Horseback riding on the trails near Jackson Hole is one of the best things to experience in the area. Yellowstone is home to some of the most diverse systems of wildlife in the USA and home to over 300 different species of birds and a host of other fantastic creatures. Over 1,000 grizzly bears call the park home, as do numerous elk, wolverines, lynx, and bighorn sheep. Ride through the famously picturesque wilderness and experience them on horseback as your ancestors potentially did.
One of America’s greatest treasures is Grand Teton National Park. Encompassing over 300,000 acres of spectacular wilderness with jagged peaks, fertile valleys, and pristine lakes and streams teaming with life. It is a sight to behold. The Tetons became a national park in 1929 to protect it from commercial exploitation and is the only national park to have its own airport, Jackson Hole (JAC). Teton Park is home to a similar variety of flora and fauna as Yellowstone and it definitely is an experience to be treasured. The Tetons are a sanctuary for photographers, hikers, mountain climbers and fishing enthusiasts, and there are many ways to explore it.
You never know what you will witness in this open, peaceful sanctuary. It could be a tremendous butterfly migration in motion one day or watching a bear catch a fish the next.
